Just as Yahweh commanded us not to worship Him with the same symbols, traditions and manners the other nations worshipped their gods, the Apostles gave this same instruction to new believers unfamiliar with the teachings of the Torah. Unfortunately, they did not listen, and the church syncretized every day, tradition and symbol from the worship of other gods they could find.
